The project consists of demolishing, in a first phase, the Jean-Marie Roy Center (existing 3-storey building including a gymnasium), whose roof had partially collapsed in March 2019. This also includes the removal of asbestos. During this stage, our team also designs the new building, for which the construction will begin in a second phase.
The new multifunctional complex will include the following:
– A double gymnasium
– A sports palestra
– Changing rooms for men and women including showers
– Four community and multifunctional rooms
– Storage spaces
Among the particularities of the project, there is the recovery of mechanical and geothermal elements, as well as the construction of the new building in steel structure on the current foundations.
